To the family: Well done thy good and faithful servant"are certainly words that come to mind when we look at thelife of one of God's chosen people.we look to scriptures we know that God remembers his children through his love and guidance,Max had remembered these things. We know that he is safely resting in the arms of his Lord and Savior now.The good news is that it is not good-bye but we will see you again,Your time of sadness is also ours too for we will be with you in love and concern for you all.we pray for you and when it seems to hard to bear, know that not only do we help ease your burden,God is there as he was in the beginning. We love you so much Judy and family.....lee ann and delilah bown

To Judy, Sheila and Max’s extended family: I met Max for the first time just over sixty years ago when he used to go to the Labrador with my uncle. We’ve connected many times over that period and some visits included a yarn while sitting on his well. Max, always the gentle man, made you feel comfortable in his presence and you left there with the good feeling of wanting to come back.

You know, it's bad enough being out at sea - you miss special occasions, birthdays, weddings, and the worst is funerals. Rest in Peace Mr. Max Johnson, you were one of the best, and I'm proud to say I knew you. Every time I hear "The Cold Canadian Waters", I'll think about you. And I'll smoke many cigarettes for you, Granfadder, just the way you liked 'em, not scarce!
