To: Mary, Lucille, Sammy, Charmaine, Randy, Linda, and Justin.
By this time you have begun to move on, as move on we must after such a great loss. Although I have been in touch with you all this past week I feel compelled to express some thoughts I have as we all try to come to terms with Joey's (that's all I ever called him) passing.
I've been with you in spirit and feeling your pain as you try to adjust to the loss of his presence in your lives. One is helpless in offering any comfort from the unconsollable grief you are all feeling. I can only hope that your lives will be made lighter by the thoughts and memories you have of him until time heals the hurt and dulls the pain.
As I ponder the many chats he and I had over the past months I am firmly convinced that he has reached the fullness of God's love.
When he submitted to surgery last week he expected to wake up to a "new lease on life." Indeed, he did wake up to a new life!! Joey believed that his every move and every experience in life were guided by the hand of God. God was the focal point of his very being Often when I conversed with him I would be in awe at his tremendous faith and spiritual depth. He was on a higher spiritual level than anyone I know He inspired all who knew him to re-think their own relationship with God..Joey woke up and found himself on a higher level of happiness than we here on earth could ever imagine.
Be consoled by the fact that for Joey,":Life is CHANGED not TAKEN AWAY"( if we are to believe Scripture).
God WANTED Joey! With arms outstretched He said to Joey, "Come" Joey replied: "Here I am Lord."
Joey is now in a far, far better place than he has ever known.
Rest in Peace!, Joey.

So sorry Linda & all your family for your loss. We are so grateful that we were gifted with meeting you both while at the Heart Institute. Joe was so helpful to us when we arrived, he went out of his way as usual to help in any way he could. We became instant friends & will remain in our hearts forever.
