Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving husband David at Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, October 17, 2022, Mae Butt of Carbonear, age 81 years. Predeceased by parents: Mary and William Clarke; sisters: Florence Earle and Ann Dickson; brother: Clyde. Leaving to mourn, husband: David; daughter: Janice (Jason); special granddaughter: Katie; sisters: Vivian (Warrick-deceased) Penney, Ruby Bourgeois (Harold), and Shirley (Roy) Penney; brothers-in-law: Hubert (Audrey), Arthur (Virginia), and Ray (Karen); sisters-in-law: Joan (Albert), Pauline (Les), and Joyce (David); also a large number of close friends and extended family. A special thank you to Dr. Howse and the nursing staff of the 6th floor at Carbonear General Hospital and to Dr. Power at Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, St. John’s. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, October 20 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life Gathering with Rev. Dr. Wayne Cole to take place at Noel’s Funeral Home, Carbonear on Thursday, October 20 at 8:40 p.m. following the visitation. A private family interment will take place on Friday, October 21 in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Dr. H.
