We were very sorry to hear of Claytons passing. Many memories were made through the years with the Parsons & Pelley families. Memories that wont be soon forgotten. As children we spent many hours at Aunt LIzzies & Uncle Andrews house. Those were great memories. The memories will get us through times like these. Dear Ethelwynne and family, Celeste and I just learned of Clayton's passing this morning. We share with you and others, memories from the distant past, when Clayton was well. He was a remarkable person who touched the lives of others in so many ways. Ethelwynne, you were a source of comfort and strength to Clayton during those many years of diminishing health. We are thinking of you during this time of sadness and regret that distance makes it impossible to drop by for a visit. Although I didn't know Clayton long, he always made my day with his big smile when I arrived. Always asking how I was. Lisa, Ethelwynne and I had many laughs in the few months we cared for Clayton. So sorry to hear of Claytons passing. When meeting him he always had a warm smile and greeting. I recall a memorable trip one very early morning to Carbonear Island with Clayton and Clarence and Graham. The dense fog and zero visibility didn't seem to bother either of them. My sincere condolences to the Parsons family.

Ethelwynne and family, I was saddened to hear of your great loss. I'll miss Clayt's wonderful warm smile. We sure had a few good laughs and I learned a lot about Freshwater's rich history and the best fishing grounds. Clayt was so great at remembering names. Our ventures around Freshwater last summer got us in a little trouble but we managed to get across Clown Cove's Beach and another day right around Freshwater and down over Church hill. I will cheerish these memories. God Bless.

June 2023 Visit to NL. I’ll never forget the living room sliding door was a doorbell for Pop to know how loved he was by friends and family. An immediate tap of the foot and smile on his face meant loved ones were close by. I’ll forever miss seeing the smile on his face for visits, dinner table jokes (the buns) and his determination.
