Obituary of Clayton Parsons

Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, December 11, 2023, Clayton Parsons of Freshwater, Carbonear, age 79 years. Predeceased by parents: Andrew and Elizabeth Parsons; sister: Addy (Robert) Stewart; brother: Clarence (Myrtle). Leaving to mourn, wife: Ethelwynne; two sons: Darrell (Wanda), Codroy Valley and Lindsay (Velma), Petawawa, ON; daughter-in-law: Diane, Bay Roberts; four grandchildren: Andrew, Natasha (Will), Ashley (Kody), and Blaine (Amanda); brother: Samuel Woodrow (Marjorie, deceased), ON; sister: Dorothy (Embry, deceased) Hudson, St. John’s; sister-in-law: Betty (Harold, deceased) Forward, Carbonear; special nieces: Goldie Lynch, Linda Murphy, Debbie Giles, and Ethelwynne Howell; also a large number of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A special thank you to caregivers, Lisa Earle, Nancy Gallant, and to other relatives and friends who were there to support us over the years. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday, December 14 from 2:00 to 5:00, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, December 15 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Friday, December 15 at 2:00 p.m. from the United Church, Freshwater, Carbonear. Interment to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Freshwater United Church, Site 2, Comp 5, RR1, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1C6.
