We consider ourselves blessed to have been able to visit Bill over the years and especially last week before his passing. Bill always had that giggle a chuckle when he laughed that we always remember espicially that twinkle in his eye when he looked at Lizzie and smiled.
We would like to share this poem that we hope will comfort you in the days that lie ahead
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room why cry for a soul set free
Miss me little but not too long
And not with your bowed low
Miss me but let me go
For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone
It’s all part of the master plan
A step on the road to home
When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me but let me go
Thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time
Bob and Jackie Deering and family

Bill enjoyed life and had a smile for everyone. I remember Uncle Bill requesting cod tongues during the fun kitchen parties at Nanny and Poppy King’s. In the summer, I was always so happy when Uncle Bill came to St. John’s with his big rig because that ment I got to go round the Bay to visit. Uncle Bill was a loving soul who had a great wit and sense of humour that he shared with all. Hugs and deepest condolences. Vicki and William

Lizzie, Lisa & Matt , Neil & Roxanne, Mitchell, Shauna and family.
I was saddened to hear of Bills passing.
As a teenager growing up I spent a lot of time hanging out with Neil and watching Bill work on his cars .
He was also a truck driver for many years, which gained him a lot of friends.
You knew when every 18 wheeler, or other large trucks passed by Bills place because every one of them honked their horns, showing the friendship they had.
On behalf of the citizens, staff and council members of Victoria, I want to express our sincere condolences to you all at this difficult time.
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I was shocked to hear of your dads, / grandfathers passing.
I remember spending a lot of time in the garage with Neil, watching Bill work on his older cars. He would spend hours, days and weeks restoring them to make sure they were road worthy.
He was a pretty good mechanic that could get anything going if it involved fuel and an engine. Once he heard it fire up and idle perfectly, he'd have that little smile on his face showing the pride in his work.
If everything worked out good, he'd take us for a ride, or Neil would take it for a ride when Bill and Lizzie were away for the day! But you never heard that from me. Lol.
Rest easy Bill, and I hope you have a great ride in the sky, and Shawn is in the passenger seat along with you!

To Lizzie and all the extended family we extend out deepest condolences as you grieve the loss of your loved-one. Bill was my closest buddy growing up in our teens. We shared a lot of secrets as only close friends can do. He ate at our house as often as he did at home. When he travelled with his parents on Sundays, I went with them. A good friend sadly missed.!!!!!
Harold & Shirley Clarke, Cupids.
