Obituary of William 'Bill' Snow

Passed peacefully away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavillion, Carbonear on Friday, August 30, 2024, William 'Bill' Snow of Victoria, age 82 years.
Predeceased by son: Shawn; parents: Thomas and Gladys; brother: Dave; brother-in-law: Edward (Betty) King; sister-in-law: Gertrude King.
Leaving to mourn, loving wife of 61 years: Lizzie; daughter: Lisa (Matt); son: Neil (Roxanne); special grandson: Mitchell; granddaughter: Shauna; great-grandchildren: Ariah and Colbie; brother-in-law: Ches King; sister-in-law: Bessie (Ern) Cole; special cousins: Lori Murray and Bob Deering; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A warm, heartfelt thank you to all the staff of 1 North at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavillion for their exceptional care and compassion.
Bill worked as a tractor trailer driver for 45 years. He loved driving his 18 wheeler, talking to other drivers on the CB radio and visiting different places across Newfoundland where Lizzie would sometimes go with him. Bill spent his last few years before retiring working with Gary Butt and Hopkins trucking.
After retirement he enjoyed spending time in the garage scrapping old cars and camping. Bill had a great love for antique cars as well. He rarely missed a day at McDonalds for his daily coffee and chat with friends.
Visitation at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Sunday, September 1 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 3 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, September 3 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Water Street, Carbonear.
Interment in the United Cemetery, Victoria.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to Ronald McDonald House online at rmhcnl.ca.
