the third and final message is from cousin Heather... Aunt Callie was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone and expect nothing in return. She was an incredible woman who I will miss always. She was a source of support for me throughout the years, from hosting my mom and I when we'd visit Newfoundland to visiting my mom and I in Alberta while dealing with my mom's illness to coming all the way to Kansas for my college graduation. She never missed a chance to tell me she loved me and I will miss our long distance chats. I know that although my daughter will never have a chance to meet her, she will know from the stories her dad and I will share. My heart is with you all as you both mourn the loss and celebrate the life of this amazing person. I am with you in spirit. All the love in the world from Joseph, Audrey and especially me, Heather Dawn

the second message comes from cousin Stephanie... Michele, Colin and families - we are deeply saddened by Aunt Callie's passing - she holds a very big place in our hearts - we will always love her...she brought such fun and laughter whenever we were together. She was always a bright spot - we loved having her around. I remember last year when we came home, whenever Mom and I would plan to do anything I would ask Mom "What's Aunt Callie doing?" So I'd get on the phone and say "we're coming over or we're doing this - now get ready we're picking you up or we'll meet you here..." And in her usual manner her response would be - "Oh my Stephanie I was just with you yesterday"....and my typical response would be "And your point is??!! We treasured those times together - she was a very special lady. Michele and Colin - I hope you find strength and comfort in knowing how much she was loved and will be forever loved by anyone who had the pleasure in knowing her. Hugs to you all. Love Stephanie, Don and Sophia

Hi Michele and Colin and families, I have been given three messages from our cousins to give to you...the first is from Jill... It is with much sadness that I write this today, our family was blessed to have had Aunt Callie in our life and we will never forget her. She had an infectious laugh which always put a smile on my face, and was the best baker in all of the Jackson sister - haha! She had a heart of gold and would do absolutely anything for you if she could! We will miss her terribly, but she will remain in our hearts forever! Love Jill, Tom and the girls...

Michelle, Colin, and the Clarke family: our deepest sympathies to you. We are sure the sadness we feel at hearing of Callie's passing is but a faint reflection of the depth of sorrow which you experience now. We remember Callie fondly as a Christian woman, deeply dedicated to service of God. We are sure she will be missed greatly at Bethany. She spoke of Edgar often, and I pray that you be given comfort in the knowledge that the God who holds Edgar now also holds our dear Callie. God bless you. Stephen and Beverly Matthews, Sydney, Australia.

Laughing, loving, cooking, organizing, doing things for others, that was the essence of Aunt Callie. Her laugh echoing in my mind so clear as I write these words. She was one of a kind. I would imagine if I could see all the people who have come to visit her in the last few days, there would unlikely be a person that aunt Callie didn’t give a hand to. Her generosity and devotion was endless and effortless. She was always there for Jeanette, Marilyn and I, guiding us, or just listening or maybe a gentle telling off as it often was for me! She was taken from us too early. While she leaves a legacy of wonderful family memories, good friends, good times and big-heartedness we are so so saddened to let her go but comforted by the knowledge that she is now reunited with Uncle Edgar and all her family who have gone before her. To Colin and Michele, thank you for sharing your mom and to all your family, please be comforted that whilst myself , Jeanette and your Aunt Barb cannot be with you now, we send our thoughts, our love and our strength.

Michelle, Colin, and families, So sorry to hear on Mrs. Clarkes passing. What a beautiful lady! Our family has been a friend of hers for over 30 years! I had the pleasure of having her for an Explorer leader and then CGIT leader. She always had a smile and what an incredible leader. Whenever we had celebrations at our family home, she was always on our invitation list. Of course, she always accepted each and every invitation gratefully. Thinking of you all during this really sad time, my thoughts are with you.

What a great and wonderful friendship Callie and I shared! We had some great 'times' together and served with her some 30 years as members of the Carbonear Hospital Auxiliary. Callie was a very giving person and spent most of her time helping others and even recently when she wasn't feeling well, her concern for others was still very evident. She will truly be missed and her loyal devotion to the Hospital Auxiliary leaves a huge vacancy that certainly will not be easily replaced. To Michelle and Colin and families who will miss her the most we offer our most heartfelt sympathies. May God Bless you all.
