Obituary of George W. Earle

EARLE, George W. - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, George W. Earle of Carbonear, age 92 years. Predeceased by parents: Thomas and Jessie; sisters: Lydia Earle, Angela (John) Goodwin and Helen Earle; niece: Brenda Goodwin. Leaving to mourn, wife: Frances; two daughters: Lydia Ash and Lynda (Christopher) O'Grady, both of Carbonear; one son: Neil (Susan), California, USA; three grandchildren: Jennifer (Paul), Michael (Sarah) and Jessica; two great-grandchildren: Sarah and Matthew; brother-in-law: Duncan Howell, Alberta; sisters-in-law: Flora McCarthy, Sault Saint Marie, ON, Emma Wells and Jean (Clarence) Taylor, both of St. John's; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Thursday from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to St. James Anglican Church, P.O. Box 915, Carbonear, NL, A1Y 1C4.
