I was out of the country at the time of Mr. Winsor's passing, I have so many memories at your house growing up, and many memories of the very quiet man, with a huge presence. I remember him having the very first calculator I had ever seen and him stating that that was only the beginning of the gadgets that were to come, he was right. I prayed for all to have the strength to get you through this difficult time and for God to guide you through the days that lay ahead. I have learned we are never prepared for what life throws down to us but we are challenged to move forward. Part of my life was growing with your family and if I haven't told you lately I love every one of you and cherish the days I spent at your house, you are all a very big part of who I am today. Mr. Winsor may have left us physically, but his legacy will live forever through all he has touched, all of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. My memory is that he was a gentle giant, a man who never said much but said a lot. As my husband began his career in the trade of engineer on a ship I even learned the respect for Mr. Winsor's profession. I am blessed to have had all of you in my life. In the words of one of the greatest tap masters of all time Dr. Jimmy Slyde - “He hasn’t left us, he’s left something for us.”

Mrs Winsor and Family, There are not enough words or time to say how sad I feel for you all at this time. I have so many great memories of the many hours I spent at your home. Was many a person asked did I live there, I would say well only part time, if I was not at my own home I was there. You treated me like one of your own and I always felt welcome. You have my deepest condolence, as time passes may all the good memories you have help you through this sad time.

To David and the Winsor family, Sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Dad. I, as well as many others, will always remember him not only as quite a distinguished gentleman, but also as a man of great character and talent. I particularly remember how welcome I always felt at his/your house growing up. His wealth of knowledge on such an enormous array of subjects left me awestruck and full of admiration on many an occasion. One thing is sure and certain. He was a man who loved and was very proud of each and every member of his family. And having known you, Dave, and your family over the years, he had every right to be!!! May God give you strength and comfort at this difficult time. Paul F. Warren

May he rest in peace. He was a good neighbour to my family and a man who loved the outdoors. He taught us much and will be sadly missed. My husband Bill learned a lot about fishing from him and really enjoyed his company.

Well Dad you're not suffering anymore, you will be sadly missed and we will all miss your story telling, I pray your journey leads you to wonderful adventures, trouting, camping, on the water or just painting one of your beautiful paintings. You we're avid reader and beyond talented, you always made the most of your time and I will be forever grateful for the wisdom you have instilled in me. RIP Dad ox
