MOORES, Sylvia F. - Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Sunday, April 29, 2012, Sylvia Moores of Broad Cove, age 87 years. Predeceased by husband: Chesley; son: Melvin; parents: Fred and Alice (Trickett) Noftle; sisters: Enid Slade and Shirley Birchfield; brothers: Ralph, Stanley, Guy and Heber. Leaving to mourn, one brother: Ivor (Olive) Noftle, Broad cove; three sisters: Pearl Baker, Whitbourne, Doris Flight, St. John's and Beatrice Noftle, London, ON; special nephew: Gary Noftle (Pauline Fitzgerald), Buchans; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews; also a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay, Monday at 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, May 2 at 2:00 p.m. from Noel's Funeral Home, Western Bay. Interment in the United Cemetery, Blackhead. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to United Cemetery, Blackhead.
